Wyeast 4632 Dry Mead Yeast is a Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain that is an excellent choice for making dry mead. It has been used in many award-winning meads and is known for its low foaming and minimal sulfur production. This yeast strain helps create a nice balance in your mead, allowing the fruit character to shine through. It has an alcohol tolerance of 18% and performs best within a temperature range of 55-75°F (13-24°C). The yeast is recommended for various mead styles, including Braggot, Dry Mead, Metheglin, Open Category Mead, Other Fruit Melomel, and Pyment (Grape Melomel).
